How to play Word Vine
Touch controls: Tap one of four word tiles; each is at least 52 pixels tall and about half the board width. Pause, Restart and Sound are at least 44 pixels tall.
Keyboard controls: Keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 pick the matching tile, P or Escape pauses and resumes, R restarts the run and M toggles sound.
Screen: This game works best in any orientation.
About Word Vine
Word Vine is a word ladder built for touch. The start word sits at the bottom of the vine and the target word is fixed at the top and shown from the very beginning, so there is nothing to guess about the destination. Four word tiles are offered at every step and exactly one of them is a single letter away from the current word.
Six ladders follow, each three or four steps long, with slips instead of a timer: three careless picks end the run. The score pays for every step made and a bonus of 30 for reaching the top of a ladder.
