About Photo metadata remover
Create a new PNG from the visible pixels of your photo. Rebuilding the image this way leaves out the original file's EXIF metadata, such as camera settings and stored location tags.
Use the result when sharing the picture without that attached information. The original file remains on your device.
How to use Photo metadata remover
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP photo.
- Select Create image.
- Check the exported preview.
- Download and share the new PNG rather than the original file.
Tips and limitations
The picture itself may still reveal a location, address or other private detail. This tool does not blur faces, remove visible text or hide what is shown in the image.
The new PNG may be larger than the original JPG. Keep your original if you need its camera information later.
