About Image compressor
Make a photo smaller before sending it in a message or uploading it to a website. Choose an output format and quality level, then compare the new file with your original.
JPG and WebP are useful when file size matters. The tool keeps the image dimensions and reports whether the exported file became smaller.
How to use Image compressor
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Select JPG or WebP under Output format.
- Set Quality, then select Create image.
- Check the preview and size message, then download the result.
Tips and limitations
Start around 80% quality and lower it if the file is still too large. Check small text and fine detail before sharing.
PNG does not use the quality setting in the same way. An already compact image may become larger after export; compression is not guaranteed.
