How to play Beetle Battalion
Touch controls: Tap a beetle, then tap a reachable square or an adjacent wasp. Squares are about 52 pixels wide at 390 pixels viewport width and the head-up buttons are at least 44 pixels tall.
Keyboard controls: Arrow keys move the square cursor, Enter or Space selects a beetle and confirms a move or bite, Tab cycles beetles, P or Escape pauses, R restarts and M toggles sound.
Screen: This game works best in any orientation.
About Beetle Battalion
Beetle Battalion is a small squad game on a six by six meadow. Three beetles, three wasps, and a movement range of two steps per turn. The rule that makes it a puzzle is the counter-attack: a wasp that survives your bite bites straight back for one health point.
That means an attack from two beetles at once finishes a wasp safely, while a lone bite leaves your beetle hurt. The score rewards bites landed and wasps cleared rather than turns survived.
