How to play Spin Slash

Touch controls: A tap sets the orbit to the distance from the core to the finger, and dragging keeps adjusting it, so the blade follows the thumb around the ring; the tap never needs to be accurate because the orbit is measured from the core rather than from the blade. The board uses touch-action none so dragging never scrolls the page.

Keyboard controls: The left arrow, A or the down arrow pulls the orbit in, the right arrow or D pushes it out, the up arrow, W or Space switches to turbo spin while held, Enter starts a run, P or Escape pauses, R restarts and M toggles sound.

Screen: This game works best in any orientation.

About Spin Slash

Spin Slash is an attack game where the weapon is never aimed. A blade travels a circle around a round core, and the only thing the player controls is how far that circle sits from the core. A tap or a drag pulls the orbit in or pushes it out to wherever the finger is, so the sweep is fast and tight when the orbit is small and slow and wide when it is large.

Targets drift in from every edge and always come straight at the core, which means the ring has to be positioned for the wave that is actually arriving. Three targets reaching the core end the run, so the last metre is worth more than the rest of the board.
