Young Jonn - Elumelu (Lyrics)

Experience the official lyric video for "Elumelu," the first single of 2026 from Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Young Jonn, released May 29, 2026 under Chocolate City and Warner Music Africa. Built on an upbeat Afrobeats sound, the track is a motivational anthem about ambition, success, and believing in financial prosperity — and the title says it all. Elumelu pays homage to Tony Elumelu, one of Nigeria's most influential billionaire entrepreneurs, known for his philanthropy and business acumen. Young Jonn takes that name and turns it into a whole mindset — carrying yourself with the same quiet confidence of a man who built an empire from scratch. The hook alone — "I dey carry my body like Elumelu, show me what God cannot do" — was made to live on timelines and in gyms and on morning commutes for a long time. Born John Udomboso, Young Jonn first gained recognition as a producer, working on hit songs for artists including Olamide, Lil Kesh, and Davido before transitioning fully into performing music. "Elumelu" is another reminder that the transition was the right call.
