About Wikipedia
The Wikipedia app brings the encyclopedia to Android and iPhone. Search for a topic, read articles in different languages, and follow links to related subjects. Tabs and reading history make it easier to return to pages, while text-size and theme controls adjust how articles appear.
Save articles in reading lists to organize topics. The Android app can download saved articles for offline reading. An internet connection is needed to search for new material and download pages.
The app is free and has no advertising. You can read without a Wikipedia account. Signing in is required to synchronize reading lists between devices; editing does not generally require a permanent account, although some pages have editing restrictions. Wikipedia articles are written and revised by contributors, and readers should check the sources linked within an article.
