About Delta Chat
Delta Chat provides one-to-one conversations and group chats in a native Android app. You can also keep messages for yourself and link supported devices.
Current Delta Chat versions offer an onboarding workflow through chatmail servers. The publisher's current instructions explain how to create a chat profile and connect with other people. Follow those instructions rather than assuming that older email-based setup guides describe the latest workflow.
The official Android product is free and open source. It uses a network connection to send and receive messages, and any chosen server has its own availability. Review device-linking and backup instructions before moving a profile to another phone.
