How to play Twine Links
Touch controls: Drag from a post to lay twine and tap neighbouring cells to extend it; Undo and Start again sit under the plot and are at least 44 pixels tall. The plot scales to the space left on the screen so every cell stays on screen.
Keyboard controls: Number keys 1 to 5 choose a pair of posts and start its twine, arrow keys or W A S D walk that twine one cell at a time, U steps back, Backspace or Delete starts again, P or Escape pauses, R restarts the run and M toggles sound.
Screen: This game works best in any orientation.
About Twine Links
Twine Links is a pair connection puzzle. Each colour has two posts on the plot and one twine between them, drawn cell by cell across neighbouring squares. The twine of one colour may never cross or share a square with the twine of another, so the interesting decision is not how to reach the partner post but which way to leave room for the colours still to be joined.
Five plots follow one another, from two pairs on a four by four plot to five pairs on a six by six plot. Every plot was drawn from a real set of paths before it was built in, so a non-crossing answer exists for each one, and the twine can be pulled back or taken up again at any moment.
