How to play Pixel Grove
Touch controls: Tap a cell to fill it in Fill mode and to cross it out in Mark mode; drag across cells to fill or clear a run in one stroke. Fill, Mark, Undo, Check and Clear are at least 44 pixels tall and the board is sized to the viewport so nothing needs scrolling.
Keyboard controls: Arrow keys or W A S D move the cell cursor, Space or Enter fills or clears the cursor cell, X marks it empty, F and G pick the fill and mark modes, U undoes, C checks, Backspace clears the grid, P or Escape pauses, R restarts and M toggles sound.
Screen: This game works best in any orientation.
About Pixel Grove
Pixel Grove is a nonogram. The picture is hidden, but every row and every column carries a label listing the lengths of its runs of filled cells, in order. Fill cells until every label is satisfied and the picture shows itself. Five pictures follow one another, the last of them eight by eight, and the counts never lie.
Filled cells score, matched lines score, and a picture finished without a single check earns a bonus. The Check button flags any filled cell that is not part of the picture, so a wrong run can always be found and repaired rather than guessed at.
