Drake Sends New Diss With Future & Travis Scott… Who’s It For?

It was only eight bars, and everyone is going crazy. “Ya Hit” by Future, featuring Drake, Travis Scott and Loe Shimmy, with Sexyy Red on the ad-libs, dropped November 6. It came together the weekend of Drake’s 40th birthday. In this video I break down the backstory, how fast the record was turned around, and the music video at Drake’s ranch. I also cover why Drake working with Future and Travis is business, while Loe Shimmy and Sexyy Red are gamma. artists he’s genuinely close with. Then we get into the one bar everyone’s talking about: “Your album ain’t getting no better. Submit it.” Is it Pusha T, Jay-Z or DJ Khaled? Let me know who you think Drake was talking to in the comments. 0:00 Only 8 bars and everyone’s going crazy 0:35 Business vs. friends: Drake, Future & Travis 1:28 The backstory: previewed at Drake’s 40th 2:00 Akademiks: Drake had to get on the song 2:41 How fast the record was turned around 3:08 The timeline: Oct 24 to Nov 6 3:25 Drake’s contradictions (no features… then a feature) 4:23 Loe Shimmy, Sexyy Red & gamma. 5:04 The rollout & the music video at Drake’s ranch 5:26 Hip-hop’s posse cuts are back (the map) 5:57 The bar everyone’s talking about: “Submit it” 6:41 Why I think it’s aimed at Pusha T 7:01 Pusha T on The Breakfast Club: “The album is ready” 8:23 Could it be Jay-Z? 8:56 Could it be DJ Khaled? 9:09 Back to the second line: “Your advance” 9:40 My review of the song 10:57 Outside is back: collaboration is good for hip-hop 11:06 Final thoughts Follow me on my socials: Instagram: instagram.com/Jay.Roebuck TikTok: @Jay.Roebuck1 #drake #rap #hiphop #future
