Harold Faltermeyer & Steve Stevens - Top Gun Anthem (Guitar Cover)

Well, I never thought I'd be doing so many tracks from the Top Gun soundtrack but they seem to be well received and this was requested many many times. This is of course my second cover of Steve Stevens' work and I honestly thought it'd be easier than Dirty Diana (cover here https://youtu.be/29uy9MJfbUo) but it was a lot harder. He has some incredible fiddly licks and I took some time to build up the muscle memory for a couple of parts over a few days just on and off. I think I got there, or at least as close as I can get. I checked out a couple of live performances for hand positions. His variations of the main lick are pretty cool and gives you different things to focus on on every pass. I'll maybe cover the Righteous Brothers for my next Top Gun video... You can check out my other Top Gun related covers here - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuh0lQogSUm-OcG-JyWM7xZsugqjERST7 I use a Jackson Dk2 into a Boss Me50 into a Palmer Pdi-09 into a Focusrite Scarlet into my Mac running Logic Pro X F.A.Q. - I keep my headphones like that so they stay out the way. The cable is very long. I have a Patreon where I upload my notation notes for all my new covers and I am going through my old ones too. But I also provide custom notation and video lessons content there or at my [email protected] address. Please get in touch if you want help playing the music you love. https://www.patreon.com/bwm5150
