About Trail Sense
Trail Sense brings outdoor navigation and measurement tools to an Android phone. Mark a location as a beacon, follow a saved path, or retrace a recorded route with backtrack. Its compass needs a phone with a compass sensor.
Other tools include packing lists, sunset alerts, and pressure-based weather monitoring on devices with a barometer. Available measurements depend on the sensors fitted to the phone.
Trail Sense is free and is designed for entirely offline use. The publisher explains that sensor quality and calibration affect its readings and recommends carrying backup equipment for outdoor trips.
