About OSMTracker for Android

OSMTracker records an Android phone's GPS track and lets you mark useful points along the way. Its button layouts provide quick tags for places and path details. You can also attach a text note, photograph, or voice recording while surveying an area.

Export a journey as a GPX file for use in mapping tools such as JOSM, or upload a trace to OpenStreetMap. The app can show a track over an OpenStreetMap background. Without a connection, it can still record the journey and display the track without a map background.

The app is free and its current Google Play listing shows no ads or in-app purchases. Location access is needed for GPS recording. Photos and voice notes use the corresponding camera and microphone permissions; loading an online background or uploading a trace needs a connection.
